Miner Jobs in Australia
A Miner extracts natural resources, including coal and ore, from underground tunnels for the purposes of refining materials that generate energy and other forms of commodities, such as gold and oil. A Miner may also transport the materials to refineries, supervise and direct fellow mining workers.

A Miner will require good physical fitness and stamina to fulfil their role in extracting materials, such as coal, using drills, shovels, earth-moving equipment and other tools. Miners must also be thoroughly schooled in safety regulations and the risks associated with their work environment, including the use of explosives.

Most mines are run by large, multinational companies as they require enormous capital investment to establish. There are two major sides to the mining industry, the exploration for resources and the subsequent mining of those resources.
