Occupational Therapists enable their clients to improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities and to compensate for permanent loss of function.

It is an Occupational Therapists job to enable clients in performing activities including:

  • using a computer
  • dressing
  • cooking
  • eating

Occupational Therapists will encourage their clients to engage in activities to increase strength and dexterity, to improve visual acuity and to improve hand-eye coordination. Occupational Therapists use computer programs to help clients with decision-making, reasoning, problem solving and memory.
