Registered Nurse Jobs in Australia
A Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of the sick and injured. Registered Nurses have significantly greater clinical training, education and scope of practice in comparison to licensed practical nurses, with at least 3 years training.

Registered Nurses must be registered with the state/territory registration board. This enables them to work as a

  • midwife
  • psychiatric nurse
  • renal nurse
  • senior nurse
  • nurse educator

Registered Nurses may work in hospitals, nursing homes, private clinics or in community health services. They may also work on the administrative side, as Director of Nursing or Assistant Directors.
