A Tiler lays ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other types of tiles on walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes. The majority of work is on new buildings, whether residential or commercial. Tilers may be required to work in confined spaces, lift heavy material, or work at heights using ladders and scaffolding. Tilers require a good level of physical fitness and a good eye for accuracy and detail.

Common duties include:
