Aerospace Engineer Jobs Profile in Australia
Aerospace Engineers design, build, and test airframes for aircraft ranging from military missiles to Space Shuttles, personal aircraft to jet fighters. Aerospace Engineers supervise the production of aerial vehicles, identify and mitigate structural defects, and develop maintenance procedures to ensure systems function reliably for as long as possible. There are two specialist areas of Aerospace Engineering; aeronautical engineers work on aircraft that fly within Earth’s atmosphere, and astronautical engineers work with spacecraft used to travel into orbit and the solar system.

Aerospace Engineers work as specialised mechanical engineers, in design teams to research and construct airframes optimised to function according required specifications. An Aerospace Engineer is required to conduct mathematical modeling of airflow, testing in a wind tunnel to observe the properties of the airflow around the designs, analyse the results of testing to determine suitability of the design for the project.
